A while ago, I decided to start twitting, but I never followed through. Today, I decided to twit again and join the craze. The first task was to make sure that I will update. While I was on Del.icio.us I saw this great program called Twitbin.

Twitbin

Twitbin creates a sidebar on your browser that will let you look at current twits, and post a twit. It was a simple install and is working perfectly for me. Sadly it is only for firefox. It appears to also work on flock, my default browser. But what if I am not at home? Well, I could either use the twitter’s website or AIM!

TwitterIM

Twitter provides a feature which let you create twits, by iming “TwitterIM”. Using Meebo to connect and im twitter is a great substitute for texting and wasting money while on someone else’s computer. Easier to type too! Suddenly, twitting is not that hard anymore! But what’s the point of twitting if no one’s reading?

Spreading the word

I guess the easiest way for me to spread the word is to put a “twitter viewer” on my blog. So to do this I searched the web and found SimpleTwitter. SimpleTwitter is a simple (puns very intended) plugin for wordpress. It only contains one .PHP file so it is easy to install. After installing and configuring, the only thing left to do is pasting “<?php get_twitter_msg(); ?>” in your blog. It’s that simple. What a great tool.
Now that all the setting up is done, lets get twitting! add me to your friends list (Seraphlm) if you are on twitter. That’s all for now, thanks, bye.
