Hello World: Revision 5 Unleashed!

Yes, we are finally live. After grueling hours and hours of painful coding, we are finished (or at least to my knowledge, comment if you find any bugs please, it would be much appreciated). How do you like it? Sorry the theme is going dark again. So if you’re a printing guy or some geek, you probably can tell what inspired the theme. For those who can’t tell, it’s inspired by CYMK. You know the new (sorta) RGB? But where is the “K” (black) you ask? Well after much consideration I decided that black is too common and won’t leave as a big impression. I chose brown even though there are several websites in brown because I wanted to keep the coloring dark as not to burn your eyes out. And plus it reminds you of, brownies, chocolates, cookies and all those good stuff.

What to do after Formatting your Hard Drive, Accidentally

So a couple of days ago, I decided my computer was starting to lag too much and I should reinstall it. The original plan was to create a new partition (using my trusty sysresccd which has qtparted. A free hard drive partitioner that can resize ntfs.) on my hard drive to place all my files into and reformat the other partition. Then after reinstalling the OS I would place the file back, then join all the partition back. Sounds great right? On paper it did, but when I went ahead and executed it, a big giant head exploding problem happened. My computer crashed while partitioning. Naturally my first hope was to check if my files was still there, no dice. At that point a part of me died. (more…)

Rebirth!: 53m1 Becomes Novus.Volce

Happy almost 1st birthday 53m1/ Canabis Day (No I don’t smoke canabis, unfortunate isn’t it? But if you do, here’s your present. Sorry I couldn’t get you a canabis)! Yes you have stumbled upon 53m1, now renamed “novus.volce”. So After almost a year, I’ve decided to rebrand everything. An evolution if you will. New New(s)!?

New

Hey all (xx,xxx unique IP addresses as of right now)! I’m the new kid/man on the block. Working as an unpaid writer on Jon’s site, I feel like a sweatshop worker, but now I know never to trust gits with cameras and sexy hair. Then again, I volunteered so it ain’t really his fault. Being new here, I don’t really know what to do, but I do have someNo pr0n!!! basic guidelines given to me by my slave driver. Rule 1: No pr0n. Rule 2: No pr0n. Rule 3: No pr0n. Sorry, I can’t really remember much else besides those.

Other notes, I’m pretty sure I’m not your “mate”, Jonny-boi. and I am not just your “average computer geek with a side of airsoft”. That’s about as b0r1ng as a plate of dead rats served up with a side of bird feces. [on second thought, that's quite interesting...] Point is, there’s many other things to do in my life ’sides those two main hobbies. 53m1 ftw. now go enjoy life. We’ll be back with extreme underwater basketweaving (and some writing), right after these commercials!!!!!!!!

The Moleskine Touch

moleskine

Today I’ve bought myself some of Moleskine. I was dying to try it out seeing how most designer I know uses them. It has been said it gives the user magical power to kill things some help for inspiration. The Moleskine website said that it’s been used by people from Vincent van Gogh to Ernest Hemingway. So I totally gave in to peer pressure and got a black cahier to use for “field notes”.

The 50 Cent

It wasn’t extraordinary but you can tell it’s different than other pocket notebooks. Especially because I normally buy mine from the 99 cent store being the cheap Asian I am. It’s quite a step up. Although I am a bit disappointed by this one specific notebook. It could be normal but, the end of the string is sticking out(for a lack of a better word. It’s just unpleasant to me and I ended up cutting it. (more…)
