It has been a cool 2008, and it’s now time to join 2009 and all it has to offer. My resolution this year is to “Carpe Diem” or seize the day. No matter how cliche it is, I think it is a great goal. A big one indeed, but as I came to realize, most of the things we regret is the things we didn’t do. Few things we regret because it was done. And also, with this new beginning I decided to revamp my parent domain (byvolce.com) and actually make a portfolio instead of a bunch of links that it currently is. I hope you like it.

Like every aspiring designer (read “wannabe”) one must have a business card to hand out. So a couple of weeks ago, I decided to get some of my business card design printed. Self print that is. I wanted to try and see the outcome myself before I go out and bought a whole bundle of professionally printed one. Not the best choice, but I think the print quality itself isn’t that bad. Although one of my set of cards are turning yellow for some reason (used to be gray). Not that big of a deal, but I’ve never seen anything like that happen before, so it was interesting. Well as interesting as a business card can get

So yesterday I turned 15. My life hasn’t been all that bad so far. I’ve learned many things along the way. So today, I would like to share with you what I’ve learned in my short life so far. And since I am a high school student, my goal is to fit in. In other words, be cool. So alternately I could’ve titled this, “How to be cool”. Just kidding. But I hope you can take away something from this. So here we go.

Yes, we are finally live. After grueling hours and hours of painful coding, we are finished (or at least to my knowledge, comment if you find any bugs please, it would be much appreciated). How do you like it? Sorry the theme is going dark again. So if you’re a printing guy or some geek, you probably can tell what inspired the theme. For those who can’t tell, it’s inspired by CYMK. You know the new (sorta) RGB? But where is the “K” (black) you ask? Well after much consideration I decided that black is too common and won’t leave as a big impression. I chose brown even though there are several websites in brown because I wanted to keep the coloring dark as not to burn your eyes out. And plus it reminds you of, brownies, chocolates, cookies and all those good stuff.
